Not simply a bartending simulator, BiT is at it’s core an RPG (role-playing game) with a film noir-like storyline that follows a new bartender who is looking to become one of the best mixologists that the demanding world of seedy nightclubs has ever seen. By picking dialogue options and interacting with bar patrons, you’ll be given the can to use the iPhone 4 touchscreen to intuitively add liquor and mixers to an empty glass, and with great timing and skill you’ll impress the customers in order to get a bigger tip (which buys more recipes, all to real-world cocktail drinks that you can make with actual ingredients in your own liquor cabinet at home). Give it a try if you’re not afraid of learning something new when you play a video game!
Just like in the real life, Cocktailian’s patrons are own interesting set of the unique characters with own set of the stories. My favorite being Conquistador who reminds me of the Will Ferrell character. As the bartender, you deal with it through the dialogue lines, which you select from. Like the CYOA game, you will get to CYOC (select your conversation). One more method Nimble Strong simulates the real life bar is the scoring. Your score generally, comes in form of the grades for the drink accuracy & completeness.
